Postcards from the Great Barrier Reef
paper, resin and wire 8.5 x 8.5 x 4 cm

The world beneath the surface of the ultramarine sea that is the Great Barrier Reef is vivid and astonishing, but is under threat due mainly to human influences. In 2016 research reveals that one third of the most pristine parts of this magnificent Reef are either dead or dying. The components of this sculpture reflect this statistic using images of coral bleaching and sections of glossy postcards from this World Heritage site.
